Orthopedic surgeon installed a six in plate with screws in Owens left femur. It went well. Dr says that is can take hours or even days to wake up from this type of trauma and sedation, although he briefly woke up and howled like a mad man after they removed breathing tubes. We heard him roaring from the waiting room. We are now waiting by his bedside for him to come fully alert. All Drs. and nurses are very optimistic about the outcome. He is going to be fine.
